Responsibilities & Context

  • Full responsibility of HR & Compliance of multiple factories in the same premises.

  • Developing and implementing HR & Compliance strategies in line with the Business Plan, Labor Law, Buyers’ COC, Industry standards, etc.

  • Ensure Labor Law, Buyer code of conduct & other rules and regulations.

  • Prepare and update policy / procedure / SOP for HR & Compliance.

  • Handling factory recruitment procedure, joining, confirmation, promotion, transfer, compensation & benefits, attendance, leave management, training & development, disciplinary actions, employee relations, grievance handling, etc.

  • Prepare the factory for facing different audits such as social, environmental, technical, security audits, etc.

  • Ensure the factory’ working environments are in accordance with social compliance standards, BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX, OHSAS, Accord Alliance and QMS audit as per buyer / customer standards and requirements.

  • Correspond with buyers, Auditors, and various compliance monitoring agencies as needed.

  • To take corrective action and monitor all corrective measures as advised by the management / buyer / compliance auditors.

  • Interact with factory floor personnel to prepare them for compliance audits and make them aware of maintaining better compliance standards.

  • Conducts regular inspections of facilities, worksites, equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with required workplace standards, regulations, and policies.

  • Responsible for ensuring a healthy workplace, and maintaining efficient operation of safety, hygiene, and environment.

  • Monitor the implementation status of the Corrective Action Plan and the Welfare and Safety of the employee.

  • Establish and maintain a peaceful Industrial Relationship between management and workers.

  • Development of proper systems for maintaining and monitoring appropriate disciplinary action procedures among staff and workers.

  • Handle grievances of workers & bring them to the knowledge of Management.

  • Conduct all kinds of workers’ Training, motivation & Awareness Programs as per schedule and also prepare the records.

  • Liaison with BGMEA, BKMEA compliance auditors, Fire service & Civil Defense, Labor Office, Labor Court, Police Station, etc.

  • Any assignment as assigned by the top management.
