Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and caching/messaging tools (Redis, Kafka).
Familiar with testing (JUnit, Mockito), build tools (Maven/Gradle), and CI/CD practices.
Must have knowledge about JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Angular.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary:

ABG Technologies Limited (ABGTL), a growing fintech company, is seeking a motivated and experienced “Backend Developer” to join our Software Development team. The ideal candidate should have relevant experiences for building and maintaining scalable backend systems, microservices, and APIs using Java technologies, containerization, and DevOps practices. You will collaborate closely with product and technical teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that power our fintech platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Strong understanding of core Java concepts, including OOP, collections, and multithreading.
Work with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate.
Design, build, and deploy microservices using RESTful APIs.
Build and deploy microservices using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Skilled with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, etc.
Ability to build tools such as Maven or Gradle for application compilation and deployment.
Manage and optimize databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle.
Must have knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and other libraries.
Should have working knowledge of Angular.
Work with Apache Kafka, Redis, and Seaweed FS, etc.
Apply DevOps practices in a Linux environment.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), SOLID principles, and Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders across departments.
