Responsibility of AC system service and maintenance.

HVAC related project operation & Control.

Must have computer literacy especially MS Word & Excel.

Mature, energetic, Proactive, Innovative and quick witted.

Ability to work independently and for long hours.

Responsibilities & Context

Carries out preventive maintenance of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment and systems.

Repairs faculty Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment and plant.

Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.

Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.

Assist in verification of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration spares purchased/Supplied.

Ensure that the Air Conditioning system is ON at the right time.

Trouble shoot Air Conditioning equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment. Also placing Indent to Store, if needed.

Manage the safety of the Air Conditioning Plant rooms and workshops.

Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.

Make minor installation decisions.

Perform regular cleaning of the equipment.

Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended and type of work performed.

Collect data for reports.

Cost effective and efficient maintenance procedures.

Efficient and effective Air Conditioning and Refrigeration system.

Properly installed Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.
