Education

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fashion Designing, Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A)

• University of Dhaka,BGMEA University of Fashion Technology,Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology students will get preference

Additional Requirements

• Age 30 to 40 years

• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in home décor product design, preferably in both woodcraft and textiles in a renowned lifestyle brand, specifically in home décor.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to blend material techniques with trend-led aesthetics.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and artisan processes. Passionate about craftsmanship, sustainability, and innovation.

Responsibilities & Context

• Lead the conceptualization and creation of innovative woodcraft and textile home décor products.
• Ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with brand identity.
• Conduct trend analysis and competitor benchmarking to ensure products are relevant and market-driven.
• Present mood boards, seasonal themes, and material palettes.
• Source and select appropriate materials, including sustainable woods, fabrics, dyes, and finishes.
• Work closely with artisans and vendors to maintain craftsmanship quality and production standards.
• Collaborate with merchandisers, buyers, and production teams to meet design goals and timelines.
• Mentor designers and oversee the design team workflow when required.
• Oversee sample development, ensure accuracy in design execution, and provide clear tech specs and instructions.
• Review prototypes and pre-production samples to ensure the aesthetic integrity and quality of the product.
• Prepare various reports as per Management’s requirements. Responsible for overseeing the factory operations.
