Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health and WASH Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 16 projects.

DAM Health and WASH Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of “Nurse” of “Hena Ahmed Hospital” implemented by Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM). It`s a Munshiganj based position.

Job Responsibility:

Patient Care:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual patient needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, lab work, and interpreting results.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient conditions to the appropriate healthcare provider.

Health Education:

• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, procedures, medications, and self-care techniques.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient charts, progress notes, and medication logs.

Patient Advocacy:

• Act as an advocate for patient safety and well-being.
• Ensure that patients’ rights are respected and that they receive the highest standard of care.

Infection Control and Safety:

• Follow hospital protocols for infection control, sterilization, and patient safety.
• Ensure that all patient rooms, equipment, and instruments are properly sanitized.

Emergency Response:

• Provide immediate care during emergencies, including life-saving interventions such as CPR.
• Respond to codes and emergency situations in the hospital environment.
• Sell and maintain medicine for Pharmacy.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Report incidents, changes in patient conditions, and any unusual occurrences promptly.
