Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Engineering
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Engineering
  • Bachelor`s / Master`s in Textile Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Apparel Manufacturing (preferred).

Experience

    • 15 to 20 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Group of Companies

Additional Requirements

  • Age 45 to 55 years
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in knit garments, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (GM / DGM / AGM) in a large composite factory.
  • Strong knowledge in cutting, sewing, finishing, printing and embroidery operations, knit fabric behavior, machine layout, and production management.
  • Hands-on experience in production planning, CPM and EPM management, and ERP implementation.
  • Proven experience in handling large workforce in production & sewing.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Track record of improving line productivity, CPM reduction, and EPM enhancement.
  • The candidate must be well-acquainted with the technology relating to garments manufacturing automation systems.

Responsibilities & Context

(100% Export Oriented Knit Composite Garments)

Cotton Group is a leading circular knit garment manufacturer, committed to operational excellence, sustainability, and innovation. We are looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Head of Production to lead the entire production operations of our knit composite unit (cutting, sewing, finishing, embroidery, printing). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient production processes, achieving shipment deadlines, maintaining quality standards, optimizing manpower, and ensuring compliance with buyer requirements along with optimizing Cost Per Minute (CPM) and maximizing Earnings Per Minute (EPM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and monitor sewing & overall production to meet shipment targets.
  • Ensure on-time delivery with required quality and efficiency.
  • Control production costs, minimize wastage, and optimize resources to improve CPM.
  • Drive initiatives to maximize EPM through line balancing, process improvement, and resource optimization.
  • Develop and implement effective production planning & execution strategies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with buyer standards, audits, and code of conduct.
  • Monitor and improve line balancing, productivity, and efficiency in cutting, sewing, finishing, embroidery, printing
  • Guide, train, and motivate line supervisors, IE team, and floor staff.
  • Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Planning, IE, Quality and other teams as required.
  • Maintain strong workplace discipline, compliance, and safety standards in-line with buyer audits and internal code of conducts.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports on KPIs: line efficiency, CPM, EPM, wastage %, manpower utilization, and cost per unit.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, Lean manufacturing practices, and digital adoption for production optimization.
