Requirements
Education
- B.Sc. in Physic, Chemistry or others in Science.
- Diploma in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- At least 1 year
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Chemical Industries, Cement Industry, Gas, Fuel/Petroleum
Additional Requirements
- Should have knowledge of process operation and control, DCS systems, Monitoring process parameter, ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets, excellent troubleshooting.
- Minimum 1 years experience in DCS panel operation. For more experienced personnel, educational qualification could be relaxed.
Responsibilities & Context
Bashundhara Oil and Gas Company Ltd. (BOGCL), is looking for some competent candidates for the Position of “DCS Panel Operator- Process, BOGCL” at Hazaribagh, South Keraniganj, Dhaka.
- Operate the DCS system for plant start-up and shutdown in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner to achieve company objectives and production targets. Monitor and control process parameters such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and levels through system displays, graphics, and trend logs.
- Coordinate with field operators to adjust process parameters as required, ensuring safe and smooth start-up, shutdown, and ongoing unit operations.
- Identify and report significant operational deviations to the Shift Supervisor, and promptly implement corrective actions as instructed by the Shift Supervisor or Shift In-Charge.
- Conduct proper shift handover by reviewing unit parameters, checklists, and maintenance activities. Record key information in the logbook, and communicate problems, instructions, and operating changes to incoming DCS Operators.
- Adhere strictly to the Company’s HSE policies, standards, and approved operating procedures in all operational activities.
