Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology
- Minimum Four-year bachelor`s degree in Psychology, preferably in Counselling Psychology from any public university.
Experience

- 2 to 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): College, Hospital
Additional Requirements
- Experience Requirements: The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of professional experience in counselling, preferably in a medical college or educational institution. Experience in handling youth, medical students, and patients under stress or trauma will be considered an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Empathetic and patient-centred approach.
- Strong report writing and documentation ability.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Computer literacy (MS Office and digital documentation).
Responsibilities & Context
Ad-din Foundation is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality healthcare and medical education across Bangladesh. The Psycho-Social Counsellor will be responsible for providing professional counselling and psycho-social support services to students of Ad-din Medical Colleges. The position aims to promote mental well-being, address emotional or psychological concerns, and foster a supportive environment aligned with the organization’s values of compassion and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling to medical students.
- Conduct psycho-social assessments and identify mental health needs.
- Develop intervention plans and provide appropriate therapeutic support.
- Organize awareness sessions and workshops on stress management, emotional health, and positive coping strategies.
- Maintain confidential records and prepare regular counselling reports.
- Collaborate with academic, administrative, and clinical teams to ensure comprehensive psycho-social support.
- Offer crisis intervention and follow-up services where necessary.
- Contribute to the development of mental health policies and initiatives within the institution.
