Requirements
Education
- SSC and HSC Science background preferable
- Diploma/ Degree in Footwear Design, Leather Technology or a related field.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Tannery/Footwear
Additional Requirements
- Age At most 40 years
- 3–5 years of experience as a Pattern Maker or 5–8 years for a Developer role in the footwear industry or related field preferrable.
- Hands-on experience with both manual and CAD pattern making.
- Strong understanding of shoe constructions, materials and last development.
- Knowledge of fitting standards, size grading and footwear manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with sustainable material utilization is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Manual and CAD pattern development, grading, fit adjustment, tooling understanding.
- Software Proficiency: Shoemaster, Romans CAD, Delcam Crispin, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in ICAD will be highly appriciated.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical design or fit issues.
- Communication: Strong coordination with design, development, and production teams.
- Time Management: Ability to meet tight sampling and production deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in pattern creation and fit accuracy.

Position Overview
The Shoe Pattern Maker & Developer is responsible for creating, developing and refining footwear patterns based on design specifications, ensuring proper fit, comfort and manufacturability. The role involves close collaboration with design, sampling and production teams to translate creative concepts into technically sound products.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret design sketches and technical drawings to develop accurate footwear patterns.
- Create and modify manual or digital patterns for different shoe types (men’s, women’s, sports, safety, etc.).
- Develop CAD patterns using software such as Shoemaster, Romans CAD, or Delcam Crispin.
- Conduct pattern grading and ensure dimensional accuracy across size ranges.
- Collaborate with designers and sample makers to resolve fit, comfort, and production issues.
- Participate in sample trials, reviewing fitting and making necessary adjustments.
- Optimize material usage and ensure technical feasibility for mass production.
- Maintain and organize pattern libraries and technical files.
