Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
  • Completed MBBS followed by 01 Year Internee from any reputed Public/ Private Medical College hospital with valid B.M.D.C registration Certificate.

Experience

    • At least 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Buying House, Real Estate, Group of Companies, Madrasa

Responsibilities & Context

Job Index:

Medical Officer plays a dual role: providing clinical care to a large workforce and ensuring the factory meets international social compliance and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing daily consultations for better health.
  • Ensure healthy environment & oversee the factory’s Childcare center.
  • Monthly check-ups for pregnant workers, including weight, blood pressure, essential nutrients, including vitamins, calcium, and iron.
  • Ensure age, fitness and health verification of employees during recruitment and as needed.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical health records.
  • Ensure annual health check-up of staff and worker.
  • Promote safe work practices and universal precautions to minimize health and safety risks.
  • Conduct health awareness campaigns regarding hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
  • Ensure Maternity leave, internal and external sick leave and prepare fitness reports.
  • Follow-up daily, monthly, and annual medical reports.
  • Manage emergency medical situations and coordinate referrals when necessary.
  • Represent the medical department during buyer audits (e.g., Accord, Alliance, or BSCI audits).
  • Lead and train the First Aid Brigade (worker volunteers) on basic life support and emergency evacuation.
  • Monitor transmissible diseases, run awareness sessions and promote overall employee well-being.
  • Lead & monitor the medical team (Nurses & Medical Assistants) and their activities to ensure medical facilities.
