  • Solid understanding of inventory management principles and retail operations.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the supermarket, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all departments.Manage and motivate a team of employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock replenishment to meet customer demand.
  • Implement strategies to optimize sales and profitability, including promotional campaigns, product placement, and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, including expenses, payroll, and operational costs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market competition, and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Experience in the grocery or food retail industry.Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software is a plus.
  • Previous experience in budget management and financial analysis is a plus.
