- Diploma in Engineering in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Eng & Production
Experience
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances, Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry)
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 28 years
- Prior experience in new product development and operational execution will be considered an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of quality assurance, inventory management and BOM (Bill of Materials) control.
- Proficient in process optimization, cost control, and operational efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Good understanding of compliance requirements for local and export market operations.
- Skilled in coordinating with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, supply chain, finance and warehouse operations.
- Candidates with relevant experience will be given preference.
Responsibilities & Context
- Operate and monitor brass melting furnace operations to ensure smooth and uninterrupted brass rod production.
- Ensure proper charging of brass scrap, ingots, and additives according to production requirements and approved specifications.
- Monitor furnace temperature, melting parameters and metal quality throughout the production process.
- Execute and control production activities according to daily production plans and targeted output levels.
- Minimize material loss, oxidation, process wastage and product rejection through effective process control.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to ensure alloy composition and product quality standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate production records, furnace logs, material consumption reports and shift reports.
- Ensure safe handling of molten metal and maintain compliance with all safety policies and operational procedures.
- Implement and sustain housekeeping standards and 5S practices within the production area.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment efficiency improvement.
- Supervise manpower deployment, shift activities and ensure discipline within production operations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency and operational performance.
