Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management
  • PGDHRM / PGD in HRM will get preference.
  • Additional professional certifications related to HR, Payroll, Compliance, Labour Law, or Industrial Relations will be considered an advantage.

Experience

    • At least 10 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Steel

  • Strong knowledge of the Bangladesh Labour Law 2006 and the Labour Rules 2015

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capability
  • Well conversant in computer applications, especially the MS Office Package
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a high level of integrity

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

Chakda Steel & Re-Rolling Mills (Pvt.) Ltd (CSRM). is looking for a highly experienced, dynamic, proactive, and result-oriented professional for the position of Manager – HR & Admin. The candidate will be responsible for leading overall HR & Administrative functions for factory operations, ensuring labor law compliance, employee relations, performance management, industrial relations, and organizational development activities.

The ideal candidate must have strong leadership capability with extensive experience in factory-based HR operations within the manufacturing or steel industry.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise overall HR & Administration operations for multiple factory units.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and strategic HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure proper manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
  • Conduct and monitor KPI-based performance appraisal systems and career development plans.
  • Conduct Training Need Assessment (TNA) and organize training & development programs for employees.
  • Ensure proper implementation of the Bangladesh Labour Law 2006 and the Labour Rules 2015.
  • Handle disciplinary actions, grievance management, domestic inquiry, and employee conflict resolution effectively.
  • Prepare inquiry reports, warning letters, show-cause notices, and other HR-related official documents independently.
  • Maintain proper HRIS, employee database, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all statutory registers, records, reports, formats, and compliance documents are up to date and properly maintained.
  • Monitor factory discipline, employee code of conduct, attendance, leave, overtime, and workforce management.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, auditors, compliance bodies, and external stakeholders when required.
  • Ensure smooth administrative operations, including transport, security, canteen, accommodation, and support services.
  • Prepare monthly HR & Admin reports and management presentations.
  • Lead employee engagement and workplace culture development initiatives.
