Requirements

Education

  • Diploma in Textile Engineering
  • Diploma in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing or any other relevant Technical Discipline.
  • Professional certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be considered an added advantage.

Experience

    • 2 to 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Food (Packaged), Manufacturing (FMCG), Automobile

Additional Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of garment accessories, trims, packaging materials, spare parts, and local sourcing processes.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement procedures and supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and procurement documentation.
  • Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented professional for the position of Jr. Executive / Executive – Local Procurement. The incumbent will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procuring garment-related materials from local suppliers while ensuring quality, cost efficiency and timely delivery to support factory operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Source and procure garment raw materials, trims, accessories, packaging materials, chemicals, spare parts, and engineering items from local suppliers.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop potential local vendors to ensure competitive pricing and uninterrupted supply.
  • Collect quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and procurement-related documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Store, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Monitor supplier performance, market trends, and price fluctuations to achieve cost optimization.
  • Ensure procured materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Follow up on delivery schedules and resolve procurement-related issues promptly.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
