- BSc in Laboratory/ Diploma in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from a recognized institution.
Experience
- At least 2 years
Additional Requirements
- Age At most 30 years
- Only Male
- Candidates must be non-smokers.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a reputed diagnostic laboratory.
Required Competencies:
- Proficiency in venipuncture and specimen collection techniques.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Knowledge of infection control and biosafety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Basic computer literacy and documentation skills.
Responsibilities & Context
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Collect blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other clinical specimens following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection safely and efficiently.
- Ensure correct patient identification and proper labeling of all specimens.
- Maintain specimen integrity during collection, storage, and transportation.
- Provide courteous and professional patient care during sample collection procedures.
- Follow infection prevention, biosafety, and waste management protocols at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of collected samples and related documentation.
- Coordinate with laboratory departments to ensure timely processing of specimens.
- Monitor and maintain sample collection materials, consumables, and supplies.
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of sample collection areas.
- Assist in home service sample collection activities when assigned.
- Report any specimen-related discrepancies or incidents to the concerned supervisor.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
