Responsibilities & Context

  • Production & Creativity: Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, tarts, cookies, and breads, often creating seasonal or custom menus.
  • Presentation: Decorate, glaze, and plate desserts with high artistic standards.
  • Menu Development: Develop new, unique, and profitable recipes.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of ingredients, order supplies, and manage food costs.
  • Kitchen Operations: Oversee the pastry section, ensuring equipment is maintained and sanitation standards.
  • Leadership: Train, supervise, and guide junior bakers or pastry assistants.
