Experiences:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience of working in DRR, Climate Change and Livelihood and emergency response project with COAST and other development organization.
  • The candidate will be given preference having sound knowledge on English communication proficiency, ensured that candidates are not in 15 characters and minimum output characters (e.g., time management in view of COAST formats, diary maintenance, learning story writing, email correspondence both in English and Bangla, public speaking).
  • Candidate must have capacity and experience in report writing and conducting training.
  • The candidate must have knowledge and experience on Anticipatory Action, Disaster Risk Financing and project management and skills in computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, internet, email management etc.).

Responsibilities & Context

COAST Foundation (www.coastbd.net) is a value based independent, non-profit and Non-Government Organization (NGO). COAST has also received the special consultative status of UN Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). COAST has a zero-tolerance policy regarding Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) by its staff and personnel against the people they serve or staff. If any candidate is found and proved allegation of sexual exploitation and abuse against children or women, their applications and recruitment process will be cancelled. A written acknowledgment has to be submitted mentioning that the candidate and his/her family will not commit and give any child marriage. The organization is seeking some internal staff for below positions for the project titled “Strengthening Human-Centered Innovation for Early Warning Systems and Disaster Risk Financing (SHIELD)” which is supported by Practical Action Bangladesh and funded by Swiss Re Foundation.
