About the Role
BloomingBud is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and child-focused Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team.
The ideal candidate will assess children’s developmental, sensory, motor, functional, and behavioral needs and provide individualized, evidence-based intervention. The therapist will work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support each child’s independence, confidence, and functional growth in daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify children’s sensory, motor, functional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on occupational therapy principles and child development frameworks.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions using play-based and evidence-based techniques.
- Work with children with ADHD, ASD, Down syndrome, sensory processing challenges, developmental delays, and learning difficulties.
- Plan activities to improve fine motor skills, gross motor skills, ADL skills, social behavior, attention, and self-regulation.
- Maintain proper session notes, assessment reports, progress records, and therapy documentation.
- Guide parents with home-based activities, follow-up routines, and practical behavior strategies.
- Collaborate with psychologists, special educators, speech therapists, school teachers, and other professionals for holistic child development.
- Ensure a safe, child-friendly, structured, and motivating therapy environment.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
