Responsibilities & Context
- Maximize Uptime: Lead preventive/predictive maintenance programs and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures to minimize plant downtime.
- Capital Projects (CAPEX): Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, vendor selection, and installing new machinery or expansions.
- Operations & Utilities: Oversee critical facility utilities (HVAC, power, steam, water) and provide high-level technical troubleshooting for complex mechanical or automated systems.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, manage change protocols (MOC), and drive energy-saving initiatives.
- Leadership & Efficiency: Mentor junior engineers and maintenance staff while using Lean/Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste and optimize plant efficiency.
- Training: The engineer will train his team member.
