Responsibilities & Context
- Review project drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction and real estate development projects.
- Calculate material quantities, labor requirements, equipment costs, and subcontractor expenses.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare budgets, bid proposals, and tender documents.
- Monitor project costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure estimate accuracy.
- Update and maintain cost databases and estimating records.
- Conduct risk assessments and analyze project feasibility from a cost perspective.
- Assist management in project planning and financial forecasting.
