Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
  • Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology students will get preference

Experience

    • At least 4 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

Additional Requirements

  • Age At least 28 years
  • Strong knowledge of BNBC, RSC standards, and Nirapon requirements.
  • Experience in handling Nirapon documentation and preparing 90-day progress reports.
  • Knowledge of factory structural assessment and remediation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, BOQ preparation, and project planning.
  • Good understanding of ETP/STP civil works will be an added advantage.
  • Strong coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in working with international compliance audits.
  • Familiarity with green factory concepts such as LEED, BREEAM, and WELL.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context

About the Role

The Senior Executive – Civil Engineer will play a key role in managing factory civil engineering projects, infrastructure maintenance, and remediation activities to ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. The incumbent will ensure that all civil works are executed in accordance with regulatory requirements, BNBC, RSC, Nirapon, and buyers` compliance standards, while contributing to the organization`s continuous development and sustainability goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution
    • Plan, supervise, and execute civil construction, renovation, and infrastructure improvement projects within the factory premises.
    • Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities), cost estimates, and project budgets.
    • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure the timely completion of projects.
    • Monitor project quality, safety, and compliance with approved designs.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Management
    • Ensure all factory civil works comply with BNBC, Fire Safety Rules, and local authority requirements.
    • Coordinate structural, fire, and electrical remediation works as per RSC, Nirapon, and brand compliance audit requirements.
    • Follow up on the closure of CAPs (Corrective Action Plans) related to building safety findings.
    • Prepare and maintain engineering compliance documentation.
  • RSC / Nirapon / Safety Documentation
    • Maintain and update Nirapon/RSC-related documents, including:
      • Structural integrity documents
      • Building layout approvals
      • Fire safety permits
      • Load plans
      • Emergency evacuation plans
    • Prepare and submit 90-day progress reports on remediation updates.
    • Liaise with auditors, government inspectors, regulatory bodies, and compliance teams during inspections.
  • Maintenance & Facility Management
    • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of factory buildings, roads, drains, ETP/STP civil structures, and utility infrastructure.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of rooftops, water tanks, boundary walls, and drainage systems.
    • Support factory expansion or modification projects.
  • Audit & Inspection Support
    • Support audits such as RSC, Nirapon, SMETA, BSCI, WRAP, Higg FEM, SLCP, and customer compliance inspections.
    • Ensure that civil and structural requirements are aligned with buyers` expectations.
