 Job Summary

This position in Sales & Distribution will lead sales and distribution operations across a portfolio of multiple assigned brands, ensuring the achievement of revenue, market share, and distribution objectives for each brand. The role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies across all brands in the portfolio, strengthening distributor partnerships, enhancing trade marketing effectiveness, and building high-performing sales teams. By ensuring optimal product availability, broad market coverage, and execution excellence across all brands, the incumbent will drive sustainable growth and strengthen the competitive position of the company’s brands in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Growth & Market Expansion

Drive sales growth and expand market reach for focus brands.

Implement strategic initiatives to improve market penetration and brand visibility.

2. Distribution & Productivity Enhancement

Improve call productivity, strike rate, and lines per call across distribution operations.

Enhance sales force effectiveness through coaching and structured training.

3. Retail Distribution & Offtake Management

Ensure both numeric and weighted distribution to maximize product availability.

Drive repeat purchases and recurring sales for newly launched brands.

4. Trade Marketing & Retail Engagement

Execute trade marketing initiatives and ensure implementation of trade promotions.

Enhance retailer participation in consumer promotions and brand activities.

 5. Retail Relationship & Brand Positioning

Build and maintain strong retailer relationships to encourage long-term brand loyalty.

Develop engagement programs to create a positive retail environment.

6. Distribution Audit & Network Optimization

Conduct regular audits to evaluate distribution performance and improve service levels.

Manage distributor appointments, restructuring, and performance improvements.

7. Field Force Development & Training

Lead capability-building initiatives for sales and distribution teams.

Conduct functional and on-the-job training programs for continuous improvement.

8. Stock Management & Distributor Coordination

Coordinate with distributors to ensure adequate product lifting and stock availability.

Monitor stock movement and ensure timely replenishment to prevent shortages.
