Requirements

Education

Master`s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, Development Studies, or related fields (PhD preferred), with strong expertise in forecasting, data analytics, and economic modeling.

Experience

At least 15 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks

Additional Requirements

Minimum 15 years` experience in research, analytics, economic strategy, or innovation roles, preferably within banking, financial markets, or economic policy.

Good knowledge and skills in handling required statistical software for effective data analytics.

Proven leadership in managing teams, delivering multi-stakeholder projects, and driving strategic, research-led decision-making and digital transformation initiatives.

Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Responsibilities & Context

One of the leading and progressive private commercial banks of the country is looking for a dynamic, visionary, and highly accomplished professional for the position of Head – Research & Innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead sector intelligence, market studies, and economic forecasting; publish key research outputs including the Annual Business Outlook, Monthly Updates, Quarterly Financial Sector Reports, and daily market insights.

Monitor monetary/fiscal policies, regulatory changes, and global economic shifts; assess implications and prepare policy briefs and impact notes for senior leadership.

Drive innovation through digital transformation research, process optimization, credit automation studies, and best-practice benchmarking to strengthen competitiveness.

Develop analytical models, industry risk MIS, CIB insights, collateral and supply chain data, and automated scoring tools to improve credit decisions and portfolio quality.

Build and maintain a centralized Knowledge Hub and organize expert learning events to enhance institutional knowledge and decision-making.

Provide research-based advisory support to Senior Leadership, ALCO, Board, and Business Units while mentoring the Research & Innovation team and enabling cross-functional collaboration.
