Responsibilities & Context
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the company’s transport fleet.
Ensure optimum vehicle utilization while maintaining operational efficiency and cost control.
Monitor vehicle fitness, tax token, route permits, insurance, and all statutory compliance documents to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize fleet availability and minimize downtime.
Supervise drivers and transport personnel, ensuring discipline, compliance, and adherence to company policies.
Investigate transport-related incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain accurate transport records, operational reports, fuel consumption records, maintenance history, and fleet performance metrics.
Ensure strict compliance with road safety regulations, company SOP, and operational standards.
Liaise effectively with workshops, regulatory authorities, and internal departments to facilitate smooth transport operations.
