Responsibilities & Context
Source and procure raw materials, chemicals, and other production-related items required for tyre and tube manufacturing.
Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
Monitor and analyze international market trends, commodity prices, and supply-demand dynamics for key raw materials and chemicals.
Conduct supplier evaluations, price negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives.
Prepare and evaluate comparative statements (CS), purchase orders (PO), and procurement reports.
Coordinate with production, planning, quality assurance, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material availability.
Handle import procurement activities, including coordination with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders.
Review and verify shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Certificate, and other import-related documents.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock while minimizing procurement costs.
Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic management reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and supply chain best practices.
