Education

Bachelor/Honors
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Hotel Management, or a related discipline.
An MBA or postgraduate qualification will be considered a distinct advantage.

Experience

10 to 14 years

Age 35 to 50 years

Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 7–10 years in senior management or leadership roles.
Demonstrated success in managing large-scale operations within one or more of the following sectors:
Luxury Resort
Eco Resort
Hospitality
Tourism
Convention Centre
Recreation Park
Integrated Leisure Destination
Candidates with experience in opening, expanding, or transforming resort operations will receive added preference.

Preferred Candidates

Senior professionals from renowned resort, hospitality, or tourism organizations.
Retired senior officers from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, or Air Force with proven administrative and leadership experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Candidates with a demonstrated record of operational excellence, organizational transformation, and team leadership.

Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary General Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of a premium resort destination. This executive leadership role requires a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in resort operations, hospitality management, tourism, or large-scale recreational facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing guest experiences, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring sustainable business growth while maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, and operational efficiency.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader or retired senior Defense Forces officer with strong administrative and operational leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall management of the resort, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across all departments.
Develop and execute long-term business strategies that drive revenue growth, operational excellence, and organizational sustainability.
Lead and inspire department heads to achieve exceptional performance, accountability, and service standards.
Ensure an outstanding guest experience by maintaining world-class hospitality and customer service standards.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, cost optimization, and profitability while ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Establish and monitor operational KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the maintenance, security, and development of all resort facilities, infrastructure, and landscaped areas.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to strengthen brand positioning, increase occupancy, and maximize revenue opportunities.
Build and maintain productive relationships with government authorities, corporate partners, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and service enhancements to strengthen the resort’s market position.
Prepare executive reports, operational reviews, and strategic recommendations for ownership and senior leadership.
