Responsibilities & Context
BIID Foundation is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to support its initiatives in nutrition, research and development, partnerships, communications, and business development. The internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in public health, nutrition, social innovation, entrepreneurship, project development, and stakeholder engagement while working with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Development
Conduct literature reviews and desk research on nutrition, food systems, public health, entrepreneurship, and related development topics.
Collect, analyze, and summarize research findings to support project design and proposal development.
Assist in preparing concept notes, technical reports, policy briefs, and research publications.
Support the development of innovative nutrition and youth engagement programmes.
Partnership & Networking
Identify and map potential partners, including government agencies, development organizations, universities, NGOs, private sector organizations, and donors.
Assist in organizing stakeholder meetings, workshops, webinars, and networking events.
Maintain communication with partners and support relationship management activities.
Prepare meeting notes, contact databases, and follow-up actions.
Marketing & Communications
Assist in developing communication materials, brochures, newsletters, presentations, and promotional content.
Support social media management and digital communication campaigns.
Prepare website content, success stories, case studies, and event documentation.
Contribute to branding and visibility initiatives for BIID Foundation`s programmes.
Business Development & Fundraising
Support the preparation of project proposals, grant applications, and funding opportunities.
Conduct donor and market research to identify potential collaboration and funding prospects.
Assist in developing business models and sustainability plans for social enterprises and development initiatives.
Help prepare presentations and partnership pitches.
Content Development
Draft articles, blogs, reports, newsletters, speeches, and training materials.
Assist in developing learning modules, manuals, and educational resources related to nutrition and entrepreneurship.
Support the preparation of policy briefs, infographics, and advocacy materials.
Event & Project Support
Assist in planning and coordinating seminars, conferences, Nutrition Clubs, training programmes, and the International Nutrition Olympiad (INO).
Support logistics, participant coordination, documentation, and reporting.
Assist project teams in monitoring implementation activities and compiling progress reports.
Other Responsibilities
Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor in support of organizational programmes and strategic initiatives.
