Responsibilities & Context
World University of Bangladesh (WUB) is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer (B.Ed. & M.Ed. Programs) under the Department of Education and Research to contribute to teaching, student guidance, curriculum development, research, and other academic activities.
To take responsibility for the development and delivery of learning, teaching materials, and assessment.
To ensure that students have an effective learning experience by providing high-quality academic guidance.
To undertake professional development in support of teaching and applied research, and, where appropriate, in support of student welfare and curriculum management.
Maintain academic discipline and monitor the performance of junior teachers.
Maintain students’ academic records in the University management system.
Serve as a member of thesis defense panels and thesis supervision committees.
Prepare and modify course syllabi and course outlines.
Conduct research in different areas of Education and related fields and publish findings in recognized scholarly journals.
Perform academic administration and other activities as required, including examination proctoring, viva conducting, registration duties, etc.
Meet with and report academic and research activities to the Vice-Chancellor/President of the University/Top Management.
Assess students, including setting and marking assignments, class tests, term papers, projects, and other forms of academic assessment.
Contribute to curriculum development, academic quality enhancement, and departmental development.
Mentor and provide academic guidance to junior faculty members.
Undertake any other duties as determined by the University Management and the Vice Chancellor.
