Education
Diploma in Mechanical
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university/institution.

Additional Requirements
Professional certifications or relevant training in MEP, HVAC, fire protection, or building services will be an advantage.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
8–10 years of relevant working experience in MEP/mechanical construction.
Must have completed at least one project such as a school, mixed-use, commercial, or hospital project as an MEP Site Engineer or Project Engineer.
Strong hands-on experience in HVAC, fire protection and detection, plumbing, and related building services.
Strong knowledge of local standards and building codes, including BNBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, and other applicable standards.
Experience in testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
Experience in QA/QC, inspection, testing plans, and project documentation.
Experience managing subcontractors, site teams, and MEP resources.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong MEP site management and leadership skills.
Excellent knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, fire detection, plumbing, and related systems.
Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
Strong project coordination and administration skills.
Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures and testing and commissioning.
Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, MSP, and relevant construction/scheduling software.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer – MEP to lead and supervise mechanical and MEP services at the project site. The incumbent will be responsible for the execution, coordination, inspection, quality control, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, fire protection, fire detection, plumbing, and related building services.
This is a full-time, site-based position offered on a 2-year contractual employment basis.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all project activities related to mechanical and building services.
Manage day-to-day MEP site activities and ensure timely and professional execution.
Supervise subcontractors and ensure planned daily targets are achieved.
Coordinate with consultants, the Senior Civil Engineer, project team, and subcontractors.
Prepare and obtain approval for MEP-specific Work Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Read and interpret drawings and specifications and review shop drawings submitted by vendors.
Supervise HVAC systems, including VRF/VRV/chiller systems and associated ducting works.
Supervise fire alarm, fire protection, fire detection, plumbing, and pump room works.
Prepare and implement inspection and testing plans and work-specific checklists.
Support the Project Manager in implementing MEP-specific QA/QC systems.
Prepare progress reports and material requirements in line with project progress and lead times.
Monitor and coordinate testing and commissioning activities in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate preparation and submission of as-built drawings, manuals, certificates, and other handover documents.
Support temporary site facilities, including dewatering, plumbing, sanitation, and workers’ accommodation requirements.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, company policies, HSE requirements, and project standards.
