Education
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Special Education
Professional training/certification in SEN/Special Education, Child Development, Developmental Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, Speech & Language or Occupational Therapy will be preferred.
Experience

Responsibilities & Context
Understand and monitor the individual needs and progress of children in the SEN Unit.
Develop and review individual learning and developmental goals.
Guide SEN teachers in planning and delivering appropriate learning activities.
Support teachers in adapting classroom activities to meet individual children’s needs.
Observe classroom practices and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
Identify teacher development needs and plan relevant training sessions.
Conduct training and development sessions on SEN, child development and inclusive education.
Support the development of inclusive practices across the school.
Provide guidance and counselling support to parents regarding their child’s learning and development.
Organise parent awareness and guidance sessions on child development and SEN.
Maintain appropriate child records, progress reports and other SEN documentation.
Contribute to the continuous development of the SEN Unit.
Build professional and community networks to increase awareness of ANES’s SEN provision.
Support the school in connecting with prospective families who may benefit from ANES’s SEN and inclusive educational environment.
