Education
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
An M.Sc. or postgraduate qualification in Energy/Environmental Management is a strong advantage.
Experience
12 to 18 years

Additional Requirements
At least 5 years leading multi-disciplinary engineering functions within large-scale RMG, textile, or composite manufacturing setups.
Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of HT/LT power distribution, boiler & thermal fluid operations, condensate recovery, LEED operations, and industrial laundry utility systems.
Leadership & Strategy: Proven track record in budget control, vendor management, team leadership, and cross-functional project execution.
Preferred Accreditations (Added Advantage):SREDA Certified Energy Auditor / Energy Manager
LEED AP / LEED Green Associate
ISO 50001:2018 Lead / Internal Auditor
Responsibilities & Context
Bitopi Group is seeking a high-caliber, forward-thinking engineering leader to head our Engineering & Services Department. This strategic leadership role oversees the end-to-end civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering infrastructure across our 3 manufacturing plants.
Operating within LEED-certified, energy-efficient facilities, you will drive operational excellence across high-voltage electrical distribution, thermal utilities, laundry/process machinery, and water systems—spearheading our ongoing roadmap toward zero-waste and sustainable manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Department Leadership: Direct and mentor the Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering teams across all 3 production units to ensure 100% uptime, operational reliability, and proactive maintenance management.
Heavy Utility & High-Voltage Infrastructure: Oversee the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems (33 kV / 11 kV HT lines, substations, transformers, switchgear, and backup captive power).
Thermal, Steam & Process Utility Management: Lead the maintenance and efficiency optimization of industrial boilers, steam iron networks, thermal oil heaters, condensate recovery loops, and compressed air systems.
Machinery & Washing Plant Engineering: Supervise mechanical maintenance and lifecycle performance for high-capacity industrial washing machines (12 units), dryers, and auxiliary finishing machinery.
Water & Zero-Waste Initiatives: Oversee domestic and process water systems, water recycling, and lead technical execution for our plant-wide zero-waste and resource recovery roadmap.
Sustainability & Energy Optimization: Lead energy audits, steam trap surveys, and load management to maximize efficiency; drive renewable energy integration (rooftop solar, waste heat recovery) and advance SCADA/IoT-based energy monitoring.
Civil Projects & Infrastructure Upgrades: Direct civil works, structural retrofitting, and facility expansions in coordination with vendors, contractors, and project timelines.
Regulatory Compliance & Standards: Ensure rigorous adherence to SREDA, DoE, and BPDB/BREB regulations, alongside industry sustainability and safety frameworks including RSC, Nirapon, Higg FEM, and ISO 50001.
