Native-level proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written).
Good command of Bengali and/or English.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context
Translate documents, contracts, specifications, and communication between Japanese and Bengali/English accurately.
Interpret during meetings, negotiations, supplier visits, and conference calls.
Assist in sourcing, procurement, and quality inspection activities by providing language support.
Facilitate clear communication between Japanese suppliers and the local team to ensure understanding of technical details and quality standards.
Support vendor evaluation and development processes through effective translation and interpretation.
Prepare and review translation of technical documents, manuals, and product specifications.
Coordinate with the buying, quality control, and production teams to ensure timely and accurate communication.
Maintain good relationships with Japanese partners and ensure cultural nuances are respected.
Keep updated with industry terminology and trends relevant to garments and buying sectors.
Perform any other language-related tasks as required to support the company’s operations.
