Additional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferably in business background from a recognized local or international university with no 3rd division or class in any academic record.
Minimum 4 years of direct foreign exchange experience in a commercial bank, with preference given to background in a Centralized Trade Processing Center (CTPC).
Professional certifications such as CDCS, CSDG, CITF, or CTFC will be treated as added advantages.
Must have relevant experience, strong communication skills, and can work under time pressures.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to handle regulators, foreign counterparties and high-volume workloads under tight deadlines.
Sufficient knowledge to operate Microsoft Office Applications
Responsibilities & Context
Process, scrutinize, and execute day-to-day desk-level operational tasks of the Bank’s Trade Service Department including Import, Export, Bank Guarantee, and Foreign Remittance (inward/outward) transactions in strict compliance with foreign exchange guidelines, national trade policies, and international regulations.
Ensure strict adherence to GFET, UCP 600, ISBP, URC 522, URR 725, Import & Export Policy Orders, Incoterms, and SWIFT message standards while actively mitigating operational risks.
Prepare and submit accurate periodic statements, returns, and MIS to Bangladesh Bank through online monitoring system (TMS) and Head Office within stipulated deadlines.
Coordinate internal, external, and regulatory audits, including comprehensive inspections by regulators pertaining to the foreign trade portfolio.
Conduct periodic field visits to exporter factories and business premises to verify operational authenticity and ensure client activities align with national laws.
Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Business Development units to commercialize trade services, handle client queries, and generate incremental revenue.
