Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering
Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Experience

At least 6 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Plastic/ Polymer Industry

Additional Requirements

Experience in Plastic Pipe Extrusion Line and injection molding machine installation, plant setup, and commissioning is highly preferred.

Experience with Roto Molding and Blow Molding Machines for plastic tank machine installation and PVC and WPC door and sheet Machines will be an added advantage.

Strong technical knowledge of polymer processing machinery and industrial utility systems.

Strong troubleshooting, project coordination, vendor management, and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

Fresh Polymer and Paints Limited (FPPL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), is setting up a modern polymer manufacturing facility at the Cumilla Economic Zone, Bangladesh. The facility will manufacture uPVC, cPVC, and HDPE pipes and fittings, bathroom fittings, uPVC WPC doors, uPVC foam sheets, water tanks, Teflon taps, and other polymer and paint products.

To support the development and smooth operation of the plant, MGI is looking for a dynamic and technically sound professional for the position of Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – Maintenance. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment, utilities, and maintenance activities while minimizing downtime and maintaining safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the installation, setup, alignment, trial run, and commissioning of plant equipment and systems to ensure timely and successful plant start-up.
Coordinate the installation, commissioning, and performance testing of various plant equipment and systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Plan and coordinate plant utility systems, including Chiller, Cooling Water System, Compressor, electrical systems, and related piping and connections, to ensure uninterrupted operational support.
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans for plant equipment, machinery, utilities, and facilities to maximize availability and reliability.
Monitor equipment and system performance and troubleshoot technical problems to minimize breakdowns, downtime, and operational losses.
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, contractors, and technical teams during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Review equipment layouts, technical drawings, utility requirements, and installation specifications to ensure proper engineering execution and compliance with technical standards.
Monitor plant development and contractor activities to ensure work quality, safety, progress, and timely completion of assigned activities.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, EHS, Quality, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth plant operation and effective maintenance execution.
Ensure proper maintenance planning, documentation, spare-parts availability, resource utilization, and continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and support uninterrupted plant operation.
