Bar council enrollment preferred.
Must have a clear understanding of criminal proceedings in Bangladesh, particularly cases relating to human trafficking, and violence and against women and children.
Must have excellent report writing and translation skills.
Must have good communication skills in both Bengali and English.
Must have proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Responsibilities & Context
Maintain thorough documentation and organization of all cases supported by the organization, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all records.
Coordinate and undertake field activities aimed at locating and communicating with pertinent clients and witnesses involved in ongoing legal proceedings.
Regularly update their supervisors, i.e., practicing advocates, on the status and progress of supported cases, including but not limited to case related information and detailed reports on field activities.
Assist their supervisors formulate and implement various legal strategies for furthering the cases supported by the organization.
Aid their supervisors in various administrative tasks associated with case management and support.
Communicate with clients and witnesses, maintaining utmost regard for confidentiality and professionalism.
Regularly prepare various reports relating to project activities.
Offer additional support or assistance as needed by the organization for the purpose of project implementation.
