Requirements

Education

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree. However, the candidates having post graduate degree will be given preference. Professional qualification, such as Diploma in Secretarial Science will be treated as an additional qualification.

Additional Requirements

  • Age: 25-40 years (as on 31.05.2024) may be relaxed for the highly experienced candidate.
  • Should have high level of competence with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, composing English and Bangla etc., is essential.
  • Should have at least two year’s working experience in similar position in any reputed organization
  • Should be fluent both in writing and speaking English.
  • Should have ability to translate various documentation from English to Bangla and vice versa.
  • Should be self-driven and positive to work in a team.
  • Should have “can do’ attitude and able to handle multiple tasks managing priorities.
  • Should be committed to work following organizational aims, values, principal and policies.
  • Should have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Should be smart, dynamic, intelligent and committed.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 91 on-going projects covering 201 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
  • Caritas Bangladesh is inviting applications from the eligible candidates (men and women) for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for the position of Secretary for its Central Office in Dhaka.

  • Job Location: Central Office, Dhaka

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and screen telephone calls and responds and take message in absence of the concerned Director.
  • Prepare various correspondence/letters, reports and documents through MS Word, MS Excel, Power Points/Presentation software, etc.
  • Receive/Send, sort and register all incoming and outgoing correspondence including email.
  • Responsible for dispatching letters/reports/documents.
  • Responsible for filling and preservation of official correspondence and documents in a systematic way
  • Provide secretarial support and take minutes of various meetings and report timely manner.
  • Receive visitors and set-up appointments and giving on time reminders, maintain diary of future program for the Directors and preserve records of previous programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality on any matter for interest of the organization.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Salary Range: Tk. 35,000/- (consolidated) per month
  • Bonus: as per policy of the organization
