Responsibilities & Context

  • iDE is an international NGO with over 40 years of experience in designing and delivering market-based anti-poverty programs in 11 countries. We are a world leader in making markets work for the poor as well as the longest-established market development specialist NGO in Bangladesh. iDE believes that markets can be a powerful force for improving smallholder prosperity by creating income and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households. iDE Bangladesh currently has eight projects in Agricultural Markets, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Access to Finance with a focus on women’s economic empowerment and climate-smart technologies.
  • iDE Bangladesh is currently looking for dedicated Officer-Finance and Admin for multiple Projects. This role requires an energetic and detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks related to finance and operations at field level.
  • The Officer-Finance and Admin will be responsible for day-to-day financial management and providing general administrative support within the assigned district following iDE policies, procedures, norms and donor guidelines, which includes but not limited to hub wise fund management, record keeping, cash and Bank management, on time payment process, maintaining donor and statutory compliance, orientation to non-finance staffs at hub level and coordination with other stakeholders etc.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Officer-Finance and Admin will include but are not limited to the descriptions below-

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day financial transaction i.e cost assessment, hub wise budget monitoring, cash & bank management, update recording, financial document preservations NetSuite recording, coordination with stakeholders, and general administrative tasks etc.
  • Ensure proper utilizations of project funds as per planning work following Donor guidance, Govt Law and organizational policy etc.
  • Provided necessary administrative and procurement support as per iDE policy and donor guidance.
  • Ensure logistic support in organizing program meetings, workshops, seminars, training including venue booking, vehicle management etc. for project team as well as visitor
  • Maintain stock of office supplies, inventory, fixed assets and all kind of files, register etc.
  • Process overtime payment of hub level Office Assistant and Drivers in coordination with Dhaka based HR and Admin unit and ensure its proper documentation
  • Function as the supervisor of Office Support Staff and other administrative and logistics activities.
  • Maintain office filing, inventory and storage systems with proper documentation, security, and accessibility.
  • Provide necessary support to HR unit in terms of managing hub level staffs timesheet, leave, attendance etc.
  • Prepare the financial reports on monthly, quarterly, six and annual basis and share with field management as per schedule.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by supervisors as well as Dhaka finance & operation unit.
