Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor/Masters in Business Administration or any other relevant Degree.
  • B.Sc in Engineering is preferable.
  • PGD in CSCM is getting advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Sourcing potential vendors, sub-contractors and suppliers for construction materials, construction work and equipment from both domestic and international markets for bidding purpose;
  • Analyzing technical specification and employer’s requirements to determine the materials’ requirement after getting purchase requisition;
  • Building a procurement and bid strategy, including the setup of inter-department frameworks to support the Cost Department during bidding period.
  • Collecting quotation from different vendors, sub-contractors, suppliers and creating comparative statement (CS) with the price;
  • Preparing RFQ (Request for Quotation), PR (Purchase Requisition), PO (Purchase Order) against requisition;
  • Negotiating the best possible deal for pricing, quality and other terms and conditions with the suppliers and vendors;
  • Preparing related documents to open LC/LCA for imported items;
  • Maintaining, updating and managing all the supplier and subcontractor profiles on the
  • ERP/SAP Supply Chain management server;
  • Visiting and traveling for developing sources, improving coordination among suppliers, building strong work relationships with new and existing suppliers;
  • Monitoring and cross-checking materials’ rate from real market sources and other companies;
  • Evaluating vendor performance based on cost, quality and delivery and developing plans to improve supplier performance;
  • Any other job as and when assigned by the management;
  • Drafting and negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors for contract details
  • Travel outside of Dhaka when necessary.
