Responsibilities & Context
- Manage widespread distribution network throughout the country to ensure smooth supply of Animal Feed to the customers.
- Prepare and update daily distribution plan considering Finished Goods (FG) stocks, historical delivery data and customer demand trend.
- Prepare daily production plan, monitor Stock management at central warehouse, depots and other locations.
- Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system on random basis to ensure perfection in inventory.
- Collect Market forecast on daily, weekly and monthly basis through regular communication with sales team and liaise with the factory for production planning.
- Submit weekly/monthly requisition of product and maintain minimum stock level at all inventory locations.Monitoring loading & unloading of all delivery points (factories and depots) and ensure that FIFO method is implemented everywhere.
- Supervise and develop the distribution team members through meeting, discussion, individual contact and/or training programs.
- Ensure peak efficiency of all depot operations. Ensure effective inventory management, maintain the right level of inventory and facilitate inventory audit at all inventory locations.
- Identify region-wise slow-moving products and take necessary measure to deliver the goods before expiry date or send them back to factory for further processing.
- Address customer queries and handle the complaints strategically for ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Follow-up depot bills like as loading, Unloading, Carrying bill & Daily Expense.
- Control and supervise all Vehicle movement from Factory to Depots; Depot to customers and Factory to customers.
- Communicate and dealing with Vehicle Suppliers / Transport Agencies for cost negotiation and smooth delivery of the finished goods.
- Visit markets periodically to justify and improve route plans, customers support and service level.
- Establishing performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve team performance.
- Preparation and submit various reports i.e., location-wise daily stock report, Aging report based on FIFO method, party wise delivery report, DO vs Delivery report, depot cash flow etc. on regular basis.
