Responsibilities & Context
Responsibilities:
Product Development:
- Lead the development of new products from concept to launch.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and other departments to ensure product development aligns with market needs and company goals.
- Manage production processes and work closely with contract manufacturers (CM) to ensure product quality and consistency.
Portfolio and Category Management:
- Oversee the entire product portfolio, ensuring a balanced mix of products.
- Identify opportunities for new product lines and category expansions.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, consumer needs, and competitor activities.
Business and Profitability:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve business goals and profitability targets.
- Monitor product performance, analyze sales data, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with the finance department to manage product budgets and forecasts.
Supply Chain Management:
- Ensure efficient supply chain operations, including procurement, production, and distribution.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to maintain product availability and cost-efficiency.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize inventory management.
Sales and Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop product positioning and go-to-market strategies.
- Provide product training and support to sales teams to drive product knowledge and sales performance.
- Assist in the development of marketing materials and campaigns to promote products effectively.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams such as R&D, marketing, finance, and operations.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners, including suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders to achieve product and business objectives.
