Requirements

Education

• Masters
• Master’s degree in any subject from a UGC-approved university. Preference will be given to the candidate having a Management/ Accounting/Finance/Marketing background in bachelor/honors and masters level.·

Experience

• At least 15 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  NGO, Micro-Credit

Age and Experience:·

• Age limit: Maximum 55 years.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years with at least 3 years of professional experience in the similar position.
• Work experience with partner organizations of PKSF will be preferable.

Other Qualifications:

• Proven experience in team leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of Microfinance management·
• Needs to have knowledge in MS Office Word, MS Office Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint and Fintech.

Responsibilities & Context

1. Basic Information

Title of the Position: Director Microfinance

Number of Position:01

Location: Head Office Dhaka, with frequent field visit

Report to: Executive Director/Concern Authority

Duration of the Position: This is a permanent position but there will be a provisional period of six months from the date of joining

Salary (Gross): Negotiable (after confirmation as per service rule all the admissible benefits applicable)

Age Limit: Maximum 55 years

Experience: Minimum 15 years with at least 3 years of professional experience in the similar position

2. Background of the organization/Programme:

BASTOB – Initiative for People’s Self-Development is a Non-profit, Non-political Voluntary Development Organization founded by a group of committed social activists on 4th July 1997 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

BASTOB is registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau, under the Prime Minister’s Office Societies Act under the Registered of Joint Stock Companies and with Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA).BASTOB is working with 100,000 disadvantaged families in 11 Districts of Bangladesh with its 73 branch offices and 500 staffs.

BASTOB is implementing Microfinance and various social development programmes with the financial assistance of PKSF, MJF, BRAC Bangladesh, Commercial banks and with several national and international donor agencies. For details, please visit http://www.bastob.org).

BASTOB has been implementing Microfinance Programme since 1999. For efficient management of its Microfinance Programme, BASTOB, is seeking qualified candidates for the “Director Microfinance”.

3. Key Responsibilities:·

• Provide overall leadership and management for the Microfinance Programme implementation.·
• Prepare work plan, ensuring efficiency and monitor the performance of Microfinance Management Team.·
• Ensure the quality of the programme and taking necessary steps for enhancement.
• Identifying challenges and addressing possible measures.·
• Ensure efficient coordination with other MFIs and stakeholders.·
• Liaise with relevant government agencies and local communities for better implementation.·
• Prepare and submit regular reports, financial analysis, and other required documents.·
• Perform any other duties assigned by BASTOB.

2 religious festival allowance equal to two months basic salary
Bangla New Year allowance 20% basic salary once in a year
