Responsibilities & Context

  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
  • Control and secure cash and cash equivalents for property according to cash handling policy and procedures.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting and audit report.
  • Audit and reconcile all revenue postings.
  • Audit
  • Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls, risk management systems and operational processes.
  • Assess and ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies of Bangladesh and Marriott International.
  • Provide management with accurate and timely reports on financial audit findings, including recommendations for improvement.
  • Check all purchase requests to see and reconcile with the requirement.
  • Propose recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and identifying other areas of improvement.
  • Plan and execute audit engagements, including data analysis and testing.
  • Review financial statements and supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate internal control systems and ensure adherence to applicable laws and policies.
  • Perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations and detect discrepancies.
  • Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent activities or financial irregularities.
  • Prepare and present audit reports to the management and the owner.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during statutory audits and regulatory compliance assessments.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and execute remedial actions.
  • Accept ownership of new auditing initiatives and enhance the compliance department’s reputation and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing.
