Job Context
- We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Manager for Product Development to join our team. The ideal candidate The Product Development Deputy Manager/ Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading the development of new products, optimizing existing products & lead the Team to enhance customer satisfaction, while ensuring they meet quality, cost, and production goals. The candidate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing and operations, to identify business opportunities, develop and execute product development plans, manage the product lifecycle, and ensure timely delivery of products.

Job Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinate for new product development through startup kit and material sourcing.
- Responsible for communicating with other global sites i.e. Hong Kong, Turkey through e-mails, phone calls for up-to-date information on new products, prices, services etc.
- Manage internal and external communication on all matters related to product and new business development.
- Analyze new product development (NPD) report to ensure on time development to achieve target sample development lead time to ensure maximum order intake.
- Drive development cycle time improvements and first time right improvements along with operations team.
- Help determining prices by doing competitive & profitable costing to give maximum profit to the company.
- Train/assist customer service, sales team and other personnel in the process of achieving highest degree required by each account/retailer in terms of service and quality.Coordinate with purchasing team to stock, planning and management for bulk raw materials and help reducing material to avoid material write off. Also support material procurement through competitive sources to save costs and gain maximum profit.
- Support the vendor Sales team to gain more businesses by on time quotes & product development.
- Responsible for different process improvement projects as a part of improvement of faster product development, color consistency, improved inventory management, speed of first order development.
- Follow up & execute on short term and long term strategy to gain more business based on the key account plan.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedure (SOP) to filter unnecessary counter sampling.
- Driving Product re-engineering project to help reducing production cost and increase our profitability.
- Coordinate on updating guidelines, standards and other required documents on regular basis.
- Acting as a technical support for product development team and other cross functional team as and when necessary.
