Requirements

Education

  • Candidates must have a postgraduate degree from any recognized university, preferably in a science-related field.
  • B.Sc. Engineers specializing in Electrical or Mechanical engineering holding a membership with the IEB is encouraged.

Experience

  • 8 to 10 years

Additional Requirements

  • 8- 10 Year(s) practical experience on plant and workplace safety.
  • Experience with Garment Industry will given preference.
  • Having experience on RSC, Nirapon and Knowledge in BNBC, NFPA and other safety regulations.
  • Having sound skill set in AutoCAD design & drawing.
  • Having certificate of NIOSH/NEBOSH, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 will get additional preference.
  • Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame.
  • Proactive, sense of responsibility, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Should have good analytical power and communication skills to resolve issues.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive safety policies & procedures and emergency response plans that comply with local laws and industry regulations and coordinating and communicating policies and plan with factory heads of all related departments.
  • Overseeing, managing & monitoring and being responsible for Fire Safety Management, Fire Alarm and Detection System (FADS), Fire Suppression System (SUPS) and report to the management about regular status accordingly.
  • Monitoring & Managing safety related activities and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and risks and develop corrective and preventive action plan as well as strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Provide necessary recommendations on Fire-Safety related Compliance issues from RSC/brand Audits and lead team and monitoring to remediate the issues and take preventive measures accordingly.
  • Support in designing and implementing safety awareness training programs like- Hazard Recognition, Safe Work Practices, Use of PPE, Emergency Response Procedure etc. for employees at all levels of organization.
  • Collaborating with managers, other department responsible and work closely with stakeholders like Human Resource, Compliance, Operations, Legal to ensure safety into all aspects of the facility.
  • Maintain liaison with regulatory authorities and ensure that workplace is compliant with all relevant safety related certificates, registration and regulations.
  • Conduct investigation report on any type of Fire-Safety related accidents take place in facility.
  • Proactive involvement in activities in Safety Committees, conducting safety campaigns or initiative and recognizing individuals or teams for their contribution to safety.
  • Able to handle any safety audit independently and lead the Fire Safety team in the right order to perform as per team objectives and monitor all Fire Safety team personnel are perform their duties as per requirements.
  • Prepare and organize all Fire Safety and FADS & SUPS related documents prior RSC and other brand audits.
  • Conduct review and check-up regularly all types of Firefighting equipment as per RSC standard and Fire license.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the management.
