Responsibilities & Context
Job Summary:
As a Senior System Engineer specializing in Electrical Systems, you will play a pivotal role in the maintenance, design, and management of complex electrical systems. You will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical installations, and provide expert troubleshooting and resolution of electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and backup generators.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
- Design large-scale electrical systems to meet the needs of various projects, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop electrical system specifications and ensure integration with other systems.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools for electrical system design and modeling.
- Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with safety standards, regulations, and codes.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
- Prepare and present project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures in electrical system operations.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
