Location: Based in Bangladesh with occasional travel to the UAE as per requirement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

A Master’s degree is preferred.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management or a related role. 2-4 years of experience in Sales or Marketing.

Must be from an ecommerce background or have experience in the ecommerce market.

Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Must have experience in leading operations management.

Must have experience in warehouse/inventory management.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Fluency in English and Bangla is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities & Context

Position Overview: The International Business Operations Specialist will serve as the primary liaison between our UAE operations and our business activities in Bangladesh. This individual will be responsible for managing the recruitment process for key positions in the UAE, overseeing daily operations from Bangladesh, and ensuring seamless integration and communication between the two regions. The role requires strategic oversight, operational management, and strong leadership to drive efficiency and growth. The candidate should have a background in e-commerce and experience in sales and marketing to support business development and market expansion efforts.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

Assist the recruitment process for UAE-based positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.

Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for various operational roles.

Collaborate with UAE hiring managers to understand job requirements and ensure alignment with organizational needs.

Operational Management:

Oversee the operational activities of the business in the UAE from Bangladesh, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in processes.

Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and compliance.

Manage logistical aspects of business operations, including supply chain management, inventory control, and coordination with vendors.

Liaison and Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact between the UAE and Bangladesh teams, facilitating clear and effective communication.

Ensure that all business activities are aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the organization.

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on operational performance and recruitment progress.

Administrative Duties:

Handle administrative tasks related to recruitment and operations, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.

Assist in the development of budgets and financial plans for operational activities.

Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations in both the UAE and Bangladesh.

Strategic Planning and Development:

Contribute to the development of strategic plans for expanding the business and improving operational efficiency.

Identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvements in both regions.

Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all international laws and regulations.

Develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues in international operations.

Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.

Act as the primary point of contact between the UAE and Bangladesh teams, facilitating clear and effective communication.

Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with international stakeholders.
