Responsibilities & Context
GD Assist Limited a subsidiary of Green Delta Insurance Company Limited is looking for a registered A Graded Pharmacist for its newly formed retail pharmacy chain with an International Brand.
- Providing information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
- Dispensing medications as prescribed by doctors and dentists directly to customers.
- Advising customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment, or healthcare supplies.
- Validating prescription order entry (VP-1), properly labeling, and filling of medication orders (VP-2).
- Ensuring compliance with FDA and manufacturer for Pharmacovigilance activities.
- Initial information gathering regarding patient’s medication histories and communicating pertinent information to the physician to avoid any drug effects.
- Verifying prescription’s authenticity.
- Seeking clarification regarding prescription discrepancies when necessary.
- In-case of drug related claims by patient, filling the Pharmacovigilance report accordingly.
- Monitoring the patients total drug therapy for: Effectiveness, Side-effects, Toxicities, Allergic drug reactions, Drug interactions, Appropriate patient outcomes etc.
- Preparing medications for intravenous administration (IV).
- Assisting customers to use devices such as blood pressure or diabetes monitors.
- Handling narcotic, psychotropic and controlled medicine.
- Ensuring proper stock storage inside the store as per company protocol.
- Checking day closing and cash transaction, maintaining cash handover register and ensuring cash handover to account.
- Monitoring & Recording of Temperature of specific drugs in the Pharmacy as per guideline.
- Arranging the stocks according to the category and agency.
- Checking expiry manually including stock expiry on a monthly basis.
- Conducting Perpetual stock taking on a monthly basis and making shortage entry in the register for the reorder of level.
- Maintaining records, such as pharmacy files, inventories, registries of narcotics, or controlled drugs.
- Taking care of issues related to the software.
- Updating records of stocks received from the suppliers.
- Management of short expiry medication. Communicating with the walk-in customers about the services & plans & take active part in promotional campaigns to promote customer care & loyalty programs as suggested by management.
