Responsibilities & Context
The Context:
Hijra and marginalize people often confront stigma, prejudice, discrimination and sometimes violence based on their gender identity. The Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights report also documented widespread discrimination in employment, education, health and other areas of Hijra and marginalize persons around the world.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:ยท
- Monitor and supervise the activities of the service center and program.
- Prepare monthly work plan for the service center and implement the activities as per approved Work plan.
- Prepare the progress reports both monthly and quarterly and ensure timely submission as per donor.
- Assess the overall quarterly clinic performance and report to the respective line supervisor.
- Analyze the client flow both in the field and clinic levels and advise related field and help implement steps for improving client flow both field and clinic especially when there is a low performance.
- Facilitate and develop the outreach/field program strategy and take initiative for continuous assessment of different locations and target population.
- Prepare duty roster and ensure that the fieldwork and clinic are held properly and regularly.
- Closely monitor and assess the performance of the team and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.
- Liaise with other HIV/AIDS prevention organizations at local level and update the activities following instruction from head office and participate in workshops, seminars and other activities, which are related to Bandhu.
- Organize monthly staff meetings giving prior notice to all staff.
- Prepare the monthly counseling report and progress reports related with counseling.
- Provide general counseling (individual or group counseling), advice and support to hijra and marginalized people attending the client and support groups on a range of personal issues of concern.
- Provide pre and post test counseling to all clients.
