Requirements

Education

• Bachelor degree in any discipline with Travel & Tourism certification.
• Proven experience in a similar role within an IATA travel agent, with a strong understanding of ticketing and reservation systems.

• Proficiency in computer systems and booking software, such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo, is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of airline policies, fare structures, and reservation procedures.

Responsibilities & Context

• Book airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and other travel-related services for clients.
• Check availability, confirm reservations, and issue/ reissue/ modify tickets & process refunds according to clients’ preferences and budget constraints.
• Provide recommendations and advice to clients on travel destinations, routes, and accommodation options.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all booking details, including travel dates, times, and passenger information.
• Assist clients with inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing information on travel options, prices, and policies.
• Handle customer complaints, issues, and requests promptly and professionally, striving to resolve them to the client’s satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times, ensuring a pleasant experience for clients.
• Calculate and quote fares, taxes, and fees accurately, providing clients with clear and transparent pricing information.
• Process payments using various payment methods, such as credit cards, cash, or electronic transfers.
• Ensure compliance with payment processing procedures and security standards.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, reservations, and payments, both electronically and in hard copy.·
• Generate and issue invoices, receipts, and other documentation as required.
• Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other travel suppliers to confirm bookings, resolve issues, and ensure smooth travel arrangements for clients.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as travel agents and managers, to provide comprehensive travel services to clients.
