Requirements

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to understand any kind of mechanical design, machine design, drawing for installation, and erection for any machine & equipment.
  • Must have experience in the installation and maintenance of HVAC, fire protection and plumbing systems, and elevator installations.
  • Ability for leadership, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure with good intercommunication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of BNBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, IPC, & UPC norms and regulations.
  • Sound knowledge about the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC).
  • Adequate skills in computer applications. Excellent in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Very good level of conversation and presentation skills.
  • Energetic, hardworking, self-motivated, highly adaptable, and able to work independently, I like to meet and take on challenges & can work under pressure.
  • Eagerness to take on challenges and work under stress.
  • Ability to work in a team of multi-disciplinary professionals.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Design work strategies, procedures and methods.
  • Carry out routine work and respond to equipment faults.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems.
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Carry out quality inspections on jobs.
  • Direct, monitor and control the activities of MEP Sub-contractors.
  • Supervision of installation of HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and installation as per Consultant’s requirement.
  • Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues.
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
  • Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate and execute all mechanical activities (both Scheduled and unscheduled).
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
  • Improve health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines.
  • Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress report with photograph & email top management.
  • Raise purchase requisition & follow-up with Supply Chain Management Dept. (SCM) for materials after proper estimation.
  • Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
  • Documentation and periodical reporting and capable of solving all technical and managerial problems at project.
  • Coordinating with all the relevant departments to ensure smooth operation.
  • Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering data; completing backups.
  • Creating working procedures & managing stocks of supplies and equipment’s.
  • Any other task assigned by management as per requirement.
